Empowering educators with tools that align with NEP 2020 for smarter, future-ready classrooms.
The initial years of a child’s life are magical- full of wonder, curiosity and a lot of new discoveries. These early experiences lay the foundation for everything a child learns. That’s where Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) steps in. ECCE aims on a child’s holistic development of children during 0 to 8 years of age. It nurtures the academic growth along with the social, emotional, physical & the creative skills. This way ECCE plays a vital role in helping a child to *learn, grow and thrive* through play, exploration and meaningful interactions.
ECCE in detail
ECCE- The early childhood care and education programme refers to all the courses which contributes to holistic development of any child of age 0-8 years. The National Education Policy 2020 even strongly emphasizes on ECCE, by claiming it to be the cornerstone of lifelong learning. It envisions a curriculum that relates to the learning but is far beyond textbooks, to engage the kids may be through storytelling, play, music, movement, exploration and the hands-on learning activities.
Role ECCE under NEP 2020 & NCF 2023
As mentioned in NEP 2020, ECCE focuses on providing a solid foundation for children between 0 and 8 years to develop Early Literacy and Numeracy Skills, their physical development & overall well-being from an early age. ECCE encourages:
